Our Biodiversity Policy
The purpose of this Policy is to establish the objectives for the conservation of biodiversity and management of ecosystems within Gamuda Land’s property development projects for the benefit of the community and the environment.
BIODIVERSITY MANAGEMENT STRATEGY (BMS)
The BMS aims to support the operationalization of the Policy, and therefore has been developed to encompass the three biodiversity thrusts of the Policy, i.e. Green Thrust (softscape), Blue Thrust (waterscape) and Brown Thrust (material / natural resources
and waste management).

BROWN THRUST
612,072 trees
planted to date
Our Green Thrust relates to how we manage flora and fauna – the plant and animal life in our townships and developments.
We committed to propagating native species across Gamuda Land developments. These species are well-suited to local terrain and climates
INTRODUCING
NATIVE SPECIES
ADVANCED TREE PLANTING (ATP)
Using ATP methods, we grow trees to maturity then plant them in our townships and developments. In this way, we maximise seedling
TERRAIN-GUIDED APPROACH
By listening to what the land has to tell us, we guide sustainable development in Gamuda Land townships by building according to the natural

BLUE THRUST
353 acres
of waterbodies created
Our Blue Thrust governs how we work with water bodies and water features to bring commercial, functional, environmental and aesthetic benefits.
WETLANDS
& WATERWAYS
Ambient temperatures around water bodies can be up to 25°C cooler in the shade, with up to 50% less air-conditioning costs for surrounding homes.
SELF-REGULATING

Just like we listen to what the land has to tell us when planning our greenscapes, we allows rivers and lakes to flow naturally across our
BIOSWALE & RAIN
WATER HARVESTING
We create channels called bioswales in our greenscapes to manage excess rainwater. We also seed native plants in our bioswales
590,905kg
total waste collected
Our Brown Thrust encompasses the hardscape elements of our developments, such as soil, equipment, structures and other man-made features.
GREEN &
PERMEABLE SPACE
We strive to live in harmony with our natural surroundings, replacing harder elements like concrete pavers with permeable laterite

We promotes community farming across Gamuda Land townships and developments, so owners and residents can experience
