The Gamuda Cove Wetlands Festival 2024, from 3 till 4 February 2024 aligned with World Wetlands Day, offers a fun-filled day of discovery. From exciting activities and tantalizing food trucks to guided tours and an outdoor bazaar, it's a celebration of nature. The festival features thrilling Eco Glamping and Nature Playscape Competitions, showcasing sustainability and creativity. It's a vibrant tribute to wetlands' importance, inspiring everyone to appreciate and protect these vital ecosystems. Come and celebrate with us!
THEME
A Journey into the
Continuation to our last year International Day of Biological Diversity (IBD); "Wonder of Wetlands", Gamuda Parks would like to celebrate and highlights more about Wetlands Biodiversity. To make the celebration merrier,
we tap into World Wetlands Day with organizing Wetlands Festival 2024 that holds with theme
"A Journey Into the Wetlands'.
The Wetlands Festival is set to take place at our latest attraction, the Wetlands Arboretum Centre (WAC), located within Gamuda Cove. Through this festival, we aim to immerse you in a dynamic exploration, allowing you to envision yourself amidst an area teeming with diverse forest flora and fauna uniquely adapted to this ecosystem. The serene lake water, mirroring the sky like a mirror, along with a family of ducks gracefully gliding across the surface, promises to create a captivating and mesmerizing experience for you.
In addition, we offer you array of programs, workshops and design competition showcase that keep you engaging and immersed not only within our wetlands symphony but also in collaboration with our nearby Orang Asli community. Seize this chance to acknowledge the delicate harmony of nature and culture at our inaugural Wetlands Festival!
THE WETLANDS ARBORETUM
The Wetlands Arboretum is established to host an environmental education based and introduced a living plants arboretum as well as to propagate plants species that suit local habitat with a focus on wetlands ecosystem. There are more than 200 species introduced and approximate of 3000 trees are preserved for this establishment and initiative.

The Eco Glamping Competition at Wetlands Arboretum, Gamuda Cove, is a captivating event woven into the Wetlands Festival 2024. Organised in conjunction of the World Wetlands Day 2024, this competition stands as a beacon of public engagement, showcase of local creativity, fostering awareness about the pivotal role wetlands play in promoting human and ecological well-being.

Minimum 6m x 6m (The selected contestants will be invited to choose the plot on site), plot size may be varied.

Each registered participants are required to upload (3) of recent camping / glamping set up photos for the organising committee to select as contestant.

NATURE PLAYSCAPE

A nature playscape refers to a type of outdoor play area specifically designed to incorporate natural elements such as trees, rocks, water features, and native plants. Unlike traditional playgrounds with standardized equipment, nature playscapes emphasize unstructured play and interaction with the natural environment.
